The Buffalo Saddle and Bridle Club
facility.jpgThe Buffalo Saddle and Bridle Club was built in 1922 as an indoor polo arena. Today it is known as The Buffalo Therapeutic Riding Center (BTRC) and features one of the largest indoor riding arenas in the nation.

Located at 950 Amherst Street, in the heart of metropolitan Buffalo, it is also the home of The Buffalo Equestrian Center (BEC) and SBS Farms, Inc. The five-acre site includes the indoor riding arena, stables, paddocks and a newly constructed outdoor riding ring. Additional stalls are available for horse shows.

 

Buffalo Equestrian Center
The Buffalo Equestrian Center (BEC) provides for the education of riders at all levels, beginner through advanced, starting at age six.

The BEC lesson program and summer camp is separate from the BTRC Therapeutic Program

Lessons & Clinics

BEC Lessons
The Buffalo Equestrian Center teaches both private and group non-therapeutic riding lessons Tuesday through Sunday all year. Instruction is provided for all levels of riding, from beginner walk-trot, intermediate and advanced jumping. Adult lessons are also available. Students are encouraged to participate in the care and preparation of their horse and will be instructed in the uses of tack and equipment. All students must be members of the Buffalo Equestrian Center.
